This easy-to-use software application simplifies the management of Windows-based broadband Internet connections to WWAN networks, worldwide, automatically configuring connection to the service provider according to the SIM card inserted. A simple, intuitive interface gives a clear overview of network and connection status and enables the user to configure settings to suit their preferences. The option of 2G or 3G technology and choice of preferred network can be manually selected according to requirements.
GlobeTrotter Connect also includes Auto-Connect/Auto Reconnect technology, a basic SMS Manager, Option® Zero-CD® automated installation technology and multiple language support, and has been designed for use with all mobile connectivity products in the Option range.
I talked to Cinbell and I don't think they are in a hurry to get this to work with Snow Leopard
10.6. I thought 10.6.1 would help correct the problem but it hasn't. Has anyone else had any success or do I need to move to Verizon or Sprint to get this to work? Is
there a market for this card? Kind of hard to sell in such a small market. I understand this works
in Cincinnati Only. - Bummer.
I have Cincinnati Bell and the Option iCon 452 with Glob Trotter Connect did used to work with
Leopard 10.5.x but now that I've installed Snow Leopard just the plugging in of the USB modem will
cause the entire system to crash and require a restart. I cannot find an updated driver. I checked the icon site and couldn't find anything.
